Semen, also known as seminal fluid, is an organic fluid created to contain spermatozoa. It is secreted by the gonads (sexual glands) and other sexual organs of male or hermaphroditic animals and can fertilize the female ovum.
A normal count is 60million/hpf – 100 million/hpf (taken after 2-3days of abstinence)
Oligospermia (low sperm count, less than 20 million/hpf)
Azoospermia (no sperms in the sample)
